It's worse when it's adults doing it. Understandable when it's kids. But adults? Most fell asleep in English class. Grammar, I am not the best at. But I know ow when to break up paragraphs, as to not make it into a continuous wall of text. Autocorrect also does not help.

Certainly no expert ( and not highly educated ), but I wonder if the world of screens and videos doesn't have something to do with the down turn in literacy. Having your device tell you what you want to know. A couple of generations ago the only way to acquire knowledge was to read it out of a book. Now that thing in your pocket will jabber information at you all day long.

Artificial intelligence will never be able to erase natural stupidity!!! Part of the problem is teachers can’t beat kids anymore. Kid screws around in class, it’s ok little Billy is just expressing himself. In my day little Billy got his a$$ beat until he straightened up. Rant off.

Oh how true. A nice solid wood paddle made a lot of dumb a$$ kids smarten up real fast. What teachers did in the 1950's and 60's would get them a prison sentence today. It's too bad, because a little fear and discipline really do work.
