Nick, you are one heck of a dad. Great work and a lot of heart.

Thanks Tom...
I just hope his Big sister and little brother take note......
Then maybe they will do the same for him when he is under their care and we are dead and gone.

I Just picked up metal working almost 2 years ago and welding last year. I hope to pass that on to my youngest so he can be creative and adaptive with his fabrication skills, to better help the family.

It was a good Idea not to try to weld the cardboard to the steel rod. That costume and the previous one turned out GREAT!
Good job dad!

2015 Halloween

2015 Halloween

Time to step it up from last years Mario Kart.

I think I want to Utilize Tihm's rickshaw idea...

And make a rickshaw base frame... And then a fighter jet shell.
Then a pilot and co-pilot cock pit.

Cool idea Nick! I like your old school plan sketched out on paper from your own mind, kinda pre computer days!

Hey everyone,
I changed the theme. Without a metal bender if would be a pain in the butt to do all the curvature parts for a plane.

I decided to stick with angles. Meaning I will be constructing a...

Pirate Ship!

I will have a mast and flag - and carry two passengers.
Maybe some other crap like cannons and sails.

I repurposed two legs from an old fold out table. Plug welded those together and that will make the base frame.

Welded on some 1/2" bolts to attach Jaxen's old wheelchair wheels.
More to come Halloween approaches.

I will also attach handles so you can either pull it like a rickshaw or push it like a wheel barrel.
