hello anderkart, I tried to ID the frame but unfortunately I was not able. The number that I read is pretty difficult to see it and not sure if it's correct numbers and letter. The ID i kinda saw, does not come close to the guide of identifying the frame.

I read in the cassette holder: 031136 and at bottom L3
Another section I read: 0sar41

Let me know what do you recommend for brakes.

Be sure to post your frame #'s on that forum too, and ask what what model caliper/mounting bracket and 40mm. rotor fits it. I'd suggest also including pics (and any part#'s) of your spindles to learn if they're a good match for your frame.

I'd like to see your pics here on this thread too

Nice kart!

I noticed Birel replied to your thread. Birel sells that caliper for $194+shipping. I'm sure they sell rotors too ($$$) but i couldn't find them listed on their site.

If you wanna save some money I found your caliper for $119 w/free shipping here: http://www.kartsandparts.ca/store/product.php?productid=1726&cat=0&page=1

They also have your rotor: http://www.kartsandparts.ca/store/product.php?productid=2169&cat=0&page=3 But it needs a hub for a 40mm axle. You could call/email asking if they have a 40mm hub for that rotor.

And ask if this rotor w/40mm hub: http://www.kartsandparts.ca/store/product.php?productid=188&cat=73&page=1 has the 200mm outer diameter and 15.5mm width that you need. If so, that's a pretty good deal w/free shipping...

You could order 8ft of brake line too: http://www.kartsandparts.ca/store/product.php?productid=3899&cat=71&page=1 You can buy your fittings/Ferrel's at a hardware store.

So did you say you already have a 40mm axle and just 1 cassette with a 40mm bearing?

Thanks for all the help, I am calling them now.

The brake line and ferrel's I can get from my job. Does it has to be any size in particular? I have at work 1/4" OD. Do I need to get a new reservoir master cylinder? The one I bought used is missing fittings or screws or something on sides and I believe at the bottom.

I got both Freeline Cassettes cod.10.6201.00 with bearing's on them. Bearings are England RHP 1240-402zq30 and Axle is Freeline cod 8150.0609-m Modulo 375 40 x 3 x 1040-m.

NOTE: Please notice on top where pictures are, one spindle is 10E and the other is E. In the Birel forum I only mentioned spindle 10E.

I will keep you posted with what they tell me about the rotor hub.

You'll need 3/16" OD brake line components. Your caliper is a dual piston model with 2 brake line inlets, so If your master cylinder only has 1 outlet, you'll also need a T-fitting.

I cant see anything missing from your master cylinder pic, post a new pic showing what you mean.

If your spindles are matching left and right pair, all the angles should be a perfect mirror-image of each other. If your unsure I'd ask about that on the Birel forum.

Then it sounds like all you'll need to complete your axle is a sprocket and sprocket hub, keys and some metric bolts from a hardware store. You can buy a hub and keys most anywhere but we still need to decide on the tooth count for your #35 pitch sprocket.

I couldn't find any 40mm. sprocket hubs listed at that kartsandparts shop, but its a common part so you might ask his price on one. plus the 4-keys you'll need. I've ordered parts form him before, he shipps fast and i really like that his prices include shipping.

Or the Burris 40mm sprocket hub here is a fair price: http://www.out2win.com/catalog/sprkthub.html
The 4 Keys you'll need are probably listed here: http://www.out2win.com/catalog/axleeuro.html#7

Then you could go ahead and assemble the axle now and instal a split-sprocket: http://www.out2win.com/catalog/sprkt_axle.html later after you decide on a motor and we figure out your gearing.

Just a thought i had before you start ordering parts:

I think its kinda cool your using this frame and buying all the parts, but something to keep in mind is that's a full size frame. Several companies make Cadet-karts, they look the same but they're just scaled down smaller so younger kids can steer and reach the pedals easier.

You could find a nice/used complete-roller (that's everything except the engine) Cadet kart for $300-$500. I'm guessing you'll need to spend quite a bit more than that on all the frame-parts you'll need for yours...

You could take a look at this link: http://www.google.com/search?source...qf.,cf.osb&fp=340cd0c5d9a8cd&biw=1024&bih=556
And I could also shop around for a bargain in your area, If your interested I'd just need to know your approx location because shipping a kart is exspencive and most sellers dont want to hassle with it.

Here's a Cadet:

Do you know what size of Metric Bolts I need to attach cassettes to frame and what nut size I need for steering shaft attaching to frame?

Nope, you'll probably need to take your parts along to the hardware store and use a metric caliper and tread-pitch gauge to take measurements on your frame.

You can probably buy them both for under $20, they'll save you time, frustration and dozens of trips to the hardware store ;)

Hey buddy, In the master cylinder if you take a look there is 2 holes on it's side that goes across, is it suppose to be like that or screws goes there? Also if you notice at one end it doesn't have anything and I believe is also missing screws or fittings or something.

Ok got it. Ordering everything except the rotor as I am waiting for Marmax to reply back to see if they have a 40mm hub for the rotor or should I just get it and then look for a hub somewhere else?
