electric motor upgrade

1st pic:
New controller and a car alternator from an old skoda car.
Alternator is gone be converted to a brushless motor, (my inspiration topic : http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=16328&sid=24fff3b116828b1e695b0c874800ff43 )

2nt pic:
(alternator convertion)
-alternators diode have been removed,
-stator's coils have been connected with 3 longer wires ,

3rd pic:
-rotor's brush have been connected with 2 wires

4rth pic:
(altermotor ready to use)
-alternator's stator drived by the new controller (a three phace controller ,1500w brushless motor 24v )
-alternator's rotor drived by my old controller (250w brushed motor 24v )

:lolgoku:Ok now you 're gone ask why use an converted alternator and not just a brushless motor?

First of all ,Ι got the alternator for free, or you can by one for a few dollars from a scrap yard!

Brushless motors use permanent magnets to operate and get your rpm rage .

With altermotor stator's winding do the job for permanent magnets, but the main difference is ,with a controllable magnet field you can have controllable torque and wider range of rpm!

:cheers2:And that's how things going...
- On a brushless motor you operate rpm with your throttle (potentiometer) but your torque has a specific range!
- On a alter- motor you operate rpm with your throttle (potentiometer), and you also can operate torque range with another potentiometer on your stator winding .
So you have an active field weakening, and your motor rpm range is more wide depending on your stators field range !
