DIY baby gokart from Greece !

I had this in mind a few months ago for my little son (4,5 years old)!
First I wanted to modify his pedal go kart to an electric one! I was trying to figure out the costs and the time will take to make it work!
Finally I decided not to destroy his pedal gokart and made a baby gokart from start!
Project start on February 2014 and finished late at June 2014. And here we go....

I did a research on net for plans an pics to find out what exactly I was going to built!
I also put down some rules for my build:
1. low weight
2. low center of gravity
3. low budget
4. electric engine
5. adjustable (on my son's age, kids are getting taller very fast)!

Everything starts from here.. on my shop's little workshop!
22mm & 18mm steel pipes 1mm thickness (light type)...
also 1/2'' galvanised steel pipe for rear crashbar!

I made my own bucket seat from a cheap kid plastic seat , polypropylene and pex alu pex pipes!

Building rear axle, seat brackets , paddles and steering frond axle!

My son helped me building steering column on his kart by adjusting seat on the very front position and the very back position (adjustable seat position) ,
(adjustable steering column angle )
(3 position adjustable caster angle )...

(brushed dc motor --> 250 w 24v geared )
