whipped up some swingarm mounting tabs and brackets. kept the tabs nice and lubed with motor oil while using the 3/4" bi-metal hole saw. welded the tabs and brackets onto the buggy frame and swingarm.

decided to lower the side rails 3 inches. now they sit at a height that feels great to rest your arm on.

going to the scrap yard again tomorrow to try and find some medium guage tubing. didn't see any last time i was there, might have to try a different scrap yard. i'm not gonna pay $8/ft for the new stuff at the retail steel shop, when i can get it for 40 cents a pound and polish it up. lol.

Not only as a Arm rest... Remember I can't move nothing below my chest I will be grabbing bars all the time to do everything from moving the seat forward and back to lifting my self up to relieve pressure. Getting in or out I will grab whatever bar I can. I have no trunk balance that means holding on to something with one hand and lifting my chair out with the other. In a regular car the steering wheel and center console take a lot of force. I use the center console to square myself up in the seat. I dont mean too but I'm always grabbing the steering wheel to catch myself when I get off balance. The tubing is going to be a great for grabbing and lifting up I could see a bent upside down u shape on the right of the drivers seat 1/2" stock maybe for me to grab and lift, maybe another next to it on the passenger seat, with that cool little console you mentioned. somehow I had it in my head a couple of bars where doors would be that could fully open then be pinned locked back in place. Hell another piece of plastic cut at a right triangle and you got a whole new look and a full opening to hop on the bad *** seats..The cage it's self is going to be great for grabbing on to...See that bottom picture of yours above... a piece of plastic that shape and some vertical bars behind it....I know thats not the door I'm just blabbing.... put some think in to it. Everyone else... I'm paralyzed so this build was and is special to me. ATV's I get thrown off or they land on top of me. Rhino's and Rzr's sit to high up to my shoulders almost. I'm to old and broken up to get up in a truck anymore. the Arctic Wildcat is way to pricey and doesn't fit my needs. I found Mystery boy and we talked a while he thought he could make something work. I took the biggest part of my savings for this build. I have been a pain because the gas tank is awkward and to high so i decided on a JAZ baffled he has the work of placement. I wanted tubing bumpers front and back bent with his style wider and beefier wide knarly tires front and back to give it a bit more width and a mean stance. A removable steering wheel adapter.. I still have to find some one to help me with hand controls but I liked the look of Mysterys green buggie after he went to swing arm and angling the fenders at 90 degrees. i know he and I can't think of everything but the Green Venom had most of my needs and wants and we decided to build on that concept... The mirrors, the lights, the frame bends etc...It looked like something that would work...Oh yeah I asked for some bad *** seats out of a sports car, leather hopefully but havent gotten that far might go with a pair from ebay unless something sweet comes along..... I know the guy is prob sick of me but it's the Buggy I want to make mouths drop, i'm sure Dave does too... It's his build...and my hard earned savings, I thank him for taking on the build and my what if's.............Thanks Dave.....

here's what i've got in mind for a latching door bar. the front cross bar is low enough that i think you can hop your feet right over. and the 2 grab bars up top will be easier to reach than the top of the frame.

yeah me a mysteryboy are throwing back and fourth some great "Rembrandt" and /michelAngelo worthy pics using windows paint, because Cad is costly and who has the time.. We are building a opening door basically a right triangle to match body lines of cart and have a useful intention Functionality ( keeping me and stuff inside the Buggy ) light weight. I my self picture 3 1 inch od pipes cut to length to fit door space !> Weld them Bottom of Vetical pipe the short one weld a collar ( Think of a Bicycle Handle bars mounted to the forks a wheel is attached to the forks turn the handle bars the wheel turns too ) here we dont need the wheel to turn just the top handle bars ( the door ) right? well are forks are just a upside down U Welded to the Buggys Frame Are Coller or ( Bicycle Neck) The Collar I call it Mounts Yo the Bolt or 3/4 inch smooth rod ...Welded To the Upside Down U Slips Through the (Bike Neck) Collar on the door That has Bearings Cheap Sealed Bearing Maybe A Inch in Diameter fits in the collar the tube sits right through it a washer keeps it spinning A nut keeps it in place ... A door ....... I'm not trying to sound like im speaking to kindergarden, Im a terrible explainer PERIOD... I like to GRAB something and see like This...... Done,,,,, Im just an idiot maybe its the cough syrup all 3 bottles and the tablets I dunno !!!!!!!

whipped up the pedal assembly (maybe whipped isn't the best word, it took several hours. lol).

made it an all-in-one assembly complete with master cylinder mounting housing. just drop it in, weld it to the buggy, done. :)

only need to add stop tabs to keep the pedals from flopping back towards you, and weld an extention bar to the gas pedal to connect the throttle cable to (don't want to do that till i have the motor in, so i can accurately guage the leverage of the pedal. position is everything!).

picked up 120 feet of .083 wall 1 1/4" tubing today. so the rest of the buggy will start taking shape now! yay!

it'll be symetrical once the door latch bar is on. just that one extra vertical bar is the only difference.

it'll take me a little longer do do the passenger side with a door latch. but it's doable. your call.

can do! :)

meanwhile, spent a good chunk of time measuring angles and such to get the roof bars figured out. also welded the front "snout" together. it's got 9 degrees of rake. that'll make a for a good stable ride, and hopefully the steering won't be too resistant.

picked up a sweet set of tires yesterday too. almost new set off a suzuki king quad, with 25x8-12 for the front, and 25x10-12 for the rears. now to find some rims!

also, a guy dropped off a Baja Warrior mini bike for me to swap a new harbor freight Predator 212cc motor into. it has a weird mini jackshaft bolted to the engine, so hopefully that won't be too difficult to do.

I like those mini-jackshafts. They bolt on just like a TC, should be no problem to swap it. The one I have is a 2:1 reduction.
