I need to find a service manuel for that sled engine, I'm pretty sure it has a extra reservoir that holds the 2 stroke oil and mixes it with the petrol. heck I dunno.... never even been close to a snow sled, and don't know jack about them.....BTW: I dig the Frankenstein exhaust, had to do a few hot stitches and re-routes for clearances and logistics I see...its coming together though,,I like the roof too. definitely no visibility issues.lol who know maybe a whitetail buck will jump in and take a ride.

i wasn't happy with how the exaust turned out. so i decided to redo the bulk of the changes. MUCH better now. better clearances, less funky angles, and a nice cone progressing into the expansion chamber area (that cone was a b!tch to make!). the only thing i'm iffy about is the sharp curve coming out of the manifold. but i don't think it'll be an issue. plenty of room for the exaust to flow. it now has more room for the gearbox and shifter assembly. gotta make some support brackets for the exaust now...

yes, the motor has an oil reservoir that you'll want to keep an eye on for 2-stroke oil level. fill it up and it'll last a long time. but still check it once in awhile. when it starts getting low (maybe 1/3 remaining?) - fill it up!

as for the deer - whom you share your ride with is your business. we don't judge. :)

:wai: Knowing nothing about sled engines, can you run pre-mix or does the oil reservoir lube something else other than fuel for the carb?

Sorry for the lack of posting in awhile. Been trying to scrounge up some money to pay the bills. As you probably saw in a recent post, I will be getting out of the buggy business once yours and my landlord's buggies are done. I have been continuously advertising, and haven't generated any more solid sales. So we'll get yours done soon, then I'll be selling off my tools and focusing on computers again. Sorry for the delay!

On a good note, the wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary today. :)

Congrats on the anniversary! Its a pity you will stop the buggy building. You are really good at it.

I too wish you and your wife congradulations on your one year anniversary. I have to get a calculator to sum up how many years my wife and I have been in bliss. Luckily she doesn't take offense, time flies in harmony and she forgets too. Best wishes to both of you.

Just a post script here: I wouldn't take a loss on what you already own (tools). Sometimes paths in life seem to run astray before they come back to the same intersection again. You find if you're meant to do something in life that you love that no matter the adversities that you eventually arrive back to the intended point.

Happen to me once. Not saying to be a pack rat, but you just don't know.

As for the buggy, any updates?

If you can find a way to get out of not selling your tools, do it! They will always come in handy. I could be wrong but, wasn't it you who said "as long as you have tools you can make money"?
