Hey guys I bought this Manco Dingo off CL for $185, I knew it needed some work but my lack of history on them led me to believe maybe this one was built before they had torque converters.
Further reading now tells me they all came with a TC. Is it possible this gearing setup with a clutch could be right for these size wheels or do you HAVE to have a TC? I will get in there and count the teeth if needed, I am sure you will need that if it is possible to run it like this. The daughter wants to ride.
Guy I bought it from said it needed a clutch, is that because a new one will get fried quick on this setup? What have I done?
Also, is there supposed to be a nut or something on the end of this thing where I have the red arrow? There is a lot of grease coming out of it.
It has a Briggs & Stratton on it and I noticed the tie rods have been welded and now looking at it maybe it is not stock Dingo steering setup either?
Hope you guys can help me get this thing right, thanks for any help you can give. Yeah the sprockets are dirty now from leaves and stuff in the yard.
