well was out walking with the dogs and came by this little gem at a yard sale. Picked it up for $200. i think a good price. all it needs is a motor (like every other cart i buy) and a return spring for the brake pedal.

yup comet 30, needed a new belt so orderd a pix brand for replacement. Feels pretty nice.

got the predator on and man she is way to tight to fit. I was able to barely fit in on the kart.

but you are right she does scoot along nicely, got to tighten a bunch of stuff up because the tires wobble back and forth on axle.

so price into it
$200 for cart
$130 for predator
$13 belt
$10 for new chain
$15 for new bearings
$12 misc (bolts, nuts, pins, paint, gas, ect)
=$380
not bad for a nice little kart

now need to brake down and repaint wheels and kart oh and re screw the head piece in, didnt notice it till i was posting picts

gas take against back seat, actualy kinda of bending the seat to make it fit

Nice score

... & straighten the front of the brushguard; left side sits lower than the right ;)

Common problem because the kart was built around the older style B&S flathead engine; easiest way to fix it is relocate the fuel tank...

That is a great find, i had one like it except mine hsd a complete cage, sold it to a guy like 2 years ago and he stuck it in a barn been there untouched since, I just put a new predator 212 on it too. Been trying to get it back I really don't think he's going to ever do anything with it. We'll his grandpa told me he wasn't anyway , he's trying to help me get it back.

I like it.....a lot......but it does have some "rough edges ".....it is what it is......unfortunately...to me....the quickness is visible in the finished project as well.....sometimes....well...(nearly always)....you can't rush quality.....

Very nice kart tho....and good job....but .....

Could you elaborate on what the rough edges are? It was a mockup with the parts on hand, still need to powdercoat more pieces, and wait for more parts to come in, nothing had been bolted down fully, just wanted to see if it would work and get some constructive feedback.

Slammed? Lol. Your spindles are on wrong. Spring goes on top use users manual parts diagram for reassembly.

Predator engine hits seat. Have you figured that part out?

I cannot see no 'roughness' in any of it's edges.. slight glare/dirt/dust on the floorpan,
and that's all I see...

Oh, lowering the Dingo by mounting the springs that way?
I'm not sure that's a great idea to be honest...

I wouldn't (or wouldn't be surprised to scratch the freshly powdercoated front on my first run ;))

But I like the color

We realized we put spring on the opposite way. It was kinda just a joke but also like the way it looks.

The kart is going to be used more on the streets or grass. Probly won't be brought onto the the dirt after she is done.

As for the motor hitting the seat I am going to be using the tav2 with mounting plate and take out the jackshaft mounting base.

The color I think turned out great. Looks like the same color as our Mazda as you can see in the background. Still trying to figure out if I want to paint a metallic gray ring on rim to offset the black.
