Detachable Steering wheel

How hard would it be to make it so I can remove the steering wheel on my go kart? Right now I have the steering raised up in my go kart so I can get in it easily. But it sort of is a bit high.

Its actually harder for me to get out of this thing because I don't have very good balance.

So if I could detach the steering wheel I could lower the steering back down a good bit.

They use them all the time on Champ karts (Champ karts have roll cages, makes it difficult to enter and exit with the wheel in the way, especially for heavier drivers).

We use a similar system on my Dragster.

What about have a uni joint on ur steering shaft, then make the main support beam for the steering column thats usually between your legs on a detachable mount, then u can detach it and hinge the whole steering system up, get in and pull it down and click it back in our put the pin back in or how ever u make it detachable.

The reason for the uni joint is so u can pull the steering assembly up. It will sort of hinge on the uni joint.
