Dang! Reports say the storm is 1600Km (1000miles) wide. Woah! Anyways, it's already affecting a lot of areas. We've had rain for a few days already, and are looking at about another week of it... Oh, goody... I'm going to be getting a lot of emergency calls, I can feel it.

Dam sounds like a big storm

I've been hearing on the radio that everyone is going mental and they are closing all the roads and public transport

Although that's just New York

I only found out about it today. Sounds pretty bad. Good luck to everyone in the path of it, sounds like you might need it....watch out for flying cows

When we get big storms here we just get stuck with a big boat or two haha, must be weird seeing it all coming?

the wind have been pretty nasty but no power outages were i am but i do know there is some people not too far from me without power. i actually put $60 of gas into my ramcharger just in case. i don't want to be running around with less 1/4 tank of gas with weather like this.

Irene wiped out most of vermont, it was terrible. We almost lost our house, i lost 2 trucks, a go kart, a dirt bike, and my workshop. One truck actually made it over a quarter mile down stream before it got stuck in a pond. The other one made it a few hundred yards because it had no tires. The go kart was down stream next to the truck, so burried all you could see was the top of the steering wheel.

So as you can guess i was extra prepared this time and also freaked out. Turned out to be nothing. Power didnt even go out, woke up to blue sky. However my instructor did cancel classes so day off to work on my supra!

This was the mouth of the James River near va beach yesterday. Guy on FTE posted it.

Just cold here with spotty rain. Schools are closed, for whatever reason.
