Im sorry, but I hate seeing classics/antiques "modernized" like that.

I do agree that the restoration went a bit far but to have him pull into the driveway with that and not our CRV was eye popping. This was for sale at the little used cart lot he worked at and he would drive cars home randomly to keep them fresh. This was a nice restoration though, very well done. My favorite part was the fold up hood to expose the motor and the open style front wheels.

Newrider, do you know what model and year this one was? I want to say 29 Model A. It looks almost identical to the first photo you posted above it, especially the exhaust.

It's kinda hard to tell from just that front shot, quite likely a '28/'29 on a '32 frame with a '32 grille.

Its Pretty Good Tranning for it. A Lot Of Scouts have there Eye On Me. PSR,YoungRacers And XGinneta so im well happy. Its The Money That Me And My Dad Are Worried About The Budget Im On is like 1/20 of the others.

My brother has a sj samurai with a 1.6 litre vitara petrol engine. He bought it of a mate, who built a cage for it and added a snorkel and proper bumpers etc. He says it is a lot better than his vitara 1.6 and landrovers offroad. I now want to see an lj at work!

Yeah, Sierras(that's what Samurais are called here) go great, especially with a bigger engine! LJs are brilliant off road, they've got more flex, clearance and lower gearing than a Sierra, they are crap on road though, an LJ50 does about 80kms flat out!

A friend of mine has a Manx style VW buggy, he's building a tube frame one too. It's great fun, goes just about anywhere too!

I'm really into pre-war style hot rods (or gow jobs), I'm slowly piecing one together. I'm going to have a look at a 1920s Chevy 4 cylinder engine for it either this weekend or the next.

So far it's just a few random parts but it'l be something one day.

looking to build a gsxr750 cc powered sae style buggy, will be using my suspension and steering geometry,i figure that would be pretty sick nasty, 750cc's, 20" of ground clearance, dual stage suspension front and rear, 25-29" of travel all the way around fully independent, sittin on 30" wheels. . . also i wanna get my 38 merc runnin and my chevy project mudder done. all this is going to have to come after my current project, currently in the prototype phase of an alternative energy motor, if i can get the prototype to work, the R&D money should be in the millions, and then you guys will have some stuff to drool over, a million dollar shop and a 100k to throw into a buggy. . . . better stop, i think im gettin an erection.

Im still kicking myself in the butt..

last spring when i was looking for a quad i came across something like this, only much smaller.. engine n everything was there, jsut needed a bit of wiring finished up.. it was much smaller scale tho, but a great engine in it..

it goes back to when i was worried about fitting in such a thing.... it was 2000$

i'll always regret not getting it.. specialy since the quad i got is broke down after a a few hours to a day of riding.. dont think its survived more than 2 days in a row.. guess i jsut ride too dang hard..

but the trails.. they jsut pull youinto it.. you cant help but fly along at your absolute limit, and then some.. hehe.. god i love it up here.. too abd i have to live in town and deal with the ppl tho.. cant wait till im done my apprentiship and can afford an acreage or something.. preferably closer to fun places.. hehe

a swivel frame kart, at first i was thinking just for the the front, but my idea would make the front too long, but wouldnt be hard to make it twist right behind the seat... i want to do that this summer, among other things...

Im big into old stuff, any old stuff. Genealogy, old cars, boats, buildings, etc. When these things are modified or destroyed, its like screwing with a piece of the past, at least IMO.

Hot rodding was done in the past, just like modfiying modern cars.

Sure enough love to have a ford f100 and drive it round would be sweet as, all original no way, handles like a soap cake, fu#kin dangerous in this world, too many retard drivers.

Rip the chassis out RHS chassis, falcon front end, jap motor and box- rb/1uZ ,exedy 5 puck clutch, toyota hiace diff with trailing arm susp, lsd, parts are cheap jap 5 stud pattern so you can find some decent wheels and if you ever have a blow out, theres always someone with a jap rim, need parts, parts available jap parts are cheap as chips, hiace diff half shaft axle/spline are comparable to a 9 inch ford lump.

She'll blow the socks off any vintage for handling, comfort, acceleration you name it, but it still looks vintage.

Restorers/hot rod enthusiasts will hate you, but after all hot rodding is about using what you have.

Unless your in austrailia, low volume technical has got to be the stupidist there.
