i figured i would start this post for fun and to see what other people are thinking about making. It does not have to be something u are making currently, it can be something u want to make in the future or just something u wish u could make.

Ill go first. I think taking the scooter coupe and extending the back a little just to fit a bigger wider tire and throwing on a hayabusa engine would be awesome fun. here is a pic of the scooter im talking about.

My "one day" project.

I've been desperately trying to track down one of these for ages, it's a Suzuki LJ50. Not really related to this forum but they do have a 539cc 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine! They are one of the most capable stock 4WDs IMO, they will leave a Sierra (Samurai) for dead off road. They're tiny too, you can fit them in the bed of a full sized pick up! Of course, it being a 2 stroke and me being who I am, it would be modified somewhat. (hence the relevance here)

My brother has a sj samurai with a 1.6 litre vitara petrol engine. He bought it of a mate, who built a cage for it and added a snorkel and proper bumpers etc. He says it is a lot better than his vitara 1.6 and landrovers offroad. I now want to see an lj at work!

I'm constantly drooling over some sort of hot rod/custom project, but that is definitely a "someday" project as I lack the funds now. Ideas range from a Carson-topped shoebox Ford, or a 60's styled Model A 5-window with a Nailhead motor and drag slicks, or a prewar-build A sedan or roadster with a flathead V8 or 'banger, or possibly an A RPU with a more modern 2.3l banger/5speed. Would mostly depend on what I could get a good deal on first, and how complete the car is.

None of the cars I posted were "modernized"... All either prewar style 30's-40's builds, or 50's-60's style hot rods.

Why?

Im big into old stuff, any old stuff. Genealogy, old cars, boats, buildings, etc. When these things are modified or destroyed, its like screwing with a piece of the past, at least IMO.
