True, what exactly are they? A few weeks ago i almost picked up a arctic cat panther for $50, was a 440 fan with no spark. I really shoulda.

ok, well after a bit of spitballing and model making we've decided not to use both rear ends, but instead to do 2 wheels in the front and one rear wheel(the drive/mc wheel) this should give us something like this (see photo, duh) only without the fancy fiberglass and a hefty roll cage, safety first

oh, the one we will be using is an old massey ferguson 440 fan cooled beast. this thing is a screamer the track is about 20" across and it still went about 90 it was geared for pulling stuff, so it should be geared down a bit

info bump:
removed the rear end of the bike, decided for now to go the simpler route and use an old 4-wheeler for the front end's suspension the frame material is angle iron from bed frames (my pop works at a furniture store, so they were cheap) the motor has been removed, and parts cleaned and i put it back together.

the bed frames wont work, so a trip to the junk yard has yielded some parts, i just need to pick them up, Wednesday. conveniently there was already a half a buggy there so we might use the suspension from that, as its all together. ran the motor through a stress test, and it did fine. 2 1/2 hrs of running idle and drive speed and the temp stayed reasonable.

new update, sad one to the 5 or so of you that may have been following this build, but i was just given a 1994 chevy corsica, and im in the process of spiffing it up a bit, i also hope to soon transplant a wonderful 3.3L grandam engine in to replace the 2.2L 4cyl. but thats a job for later, for now im contented with getting the street works off an old z26 (salvage yard anyone?) to replace the loserish ones that are stock (google image a 94 corsica and you will see what i mean) also incase anyone didnt know the 3.3L is a 6cyl not a 4, so its going to be slightly less good on gas, but worth it. if anyone wants ill do a thread on all this in the off topic section.
