Ok so I got a Firefox 200 for next to nothing and the motor needed to be replaced so not thinking I went to harbor fright and bought one of their 212cc predators when I got it home I found out the crank was about an inch too short so I thought I could swap cranks from the old motor over to the predator tore both the motors down to get ready to swap them over and the gears was different so my question is can I find a crank gear that well fit on the longer shaft needed or is there a longer shaft I can buy for the hf predator

(What I mean by crank gear the old crank has a keyed cam gear that can slide of easy)

Thanks for your time any help would be awesome

Ps if you know how I can rig the hf up without using the old TC and pulley my ears are open

Next time ask us before you tear apart 2 motors. Predator 212s are always short on the crankshaft for TCs. Guys just get a longer bolt, and I think there is even a extension piece that bolts up with a longer bolt on ebay.
And your question Yes you could just get a Cent. clutch.

The motor didn't have no power and the carb need to be replaced by rather then having to spend 100$ on a carb why not spend it on a new motor I could build up if I wanted

Edit: ne suggestions on a crank our solution to this problem lol

The reason I asked as to the original motors condition, typically it can be a few easy things to fix that are wrong. and what carb is costing $100?

No...you keep throwing good money after bad. Get a TC....you're halfway there pricewise buying that clutch.....

You probably could have just rebuilt the old carb. What came off the kart clutchwise?

Oh ain't this an ironic topic, V belts again.... Long story... Or just search for recent topics on this...

I think, also as it has been suggested, your buggy needs a cvt not a cent clutch.

Again, yes the crank is a little short for the TC but it is ok, just get a longer bolt. This issue comes up all the time and guys just use a longer bolt. So get a TC and the Stock HF predator will be fine.

You were told at the beginning of the thread that you could use a longer bolt. There is no need to look for other options
