Comet Reverse Box

I got one sitting in the shop that I want to put on the next build. Anyone put one on there kart ? Got pictures ? I need to see how they hook up.

what do you mean "how they hook up" ?

it's fairly simple really

the longer shaft takes the comet driven unit (series 40 for example)
and a bearing (as a shaft support, the gearbox itself is too weak to do so in its own)
the shorter shaft takes a sprocket that in turn connect via chain to the axle.

the lever controls forward neutral reverse and should face up
(that way the gearbox essentially sits behind the engine , not offset)

It's not a common thing alot of people have...
Mostly seen on larger machines, but really not alot here...

I would really would like to see how someone did their shifter

If memory serves me the shifter has 2 cables which means you could mount the shifter anywhere you want to. Upside down - backwards - on the roof - in front it shouldn't matter as long as the two cables reach.
