Coleman KT196 Bogging Down

We have a Coleman KT 196. It runs great for about 15-20 minutes then kind of locks up and bogs when you try to accelerate. Once it cools down for a little bit, it runs great and drives great again. Any ideas? TIA

Is it possible there is grass or a mouse nest inside the cooling shroud?
Was it stored in a barn or outside all winter?
Remove the shroud (The part where the recoil starter is bolted on) and check for any debris blocking cooling air from the cooling fins around the cylinder and head.

shroud is clear and clear..

changed oil, cleaned air filter, lubed chains and sprockets and everything is running and working great now.

Wonder what it was? The only thing you listed that it could’ve been was an air filter issue (clogged probably).
