So I've modified my Coleman ct200u and back when I did it, I was a pretty big noob about modifying this stuff. Basically, I screwed up a lot of things. So here are two of my main problems on the bike. First off, I've lost the rear bearing on the sprocket side, I don't even remember how I lost it or what happened to it. Do the rear tires even have bearings or is it something else? I ordered a new set of them too from this site but these aren't the right size for the rear.http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/...n-ct200u-mini-bike/6203zz-6203z-bearings.html
Second, the bolt that goes through the steering column's bolts keeps breaking. I've gone through about 4 bolts, (the original one's threads got stripped and all the others either snapped or stripped as well) and actually went and bought a new grade 8 8 inch bolt today and if that breaks I plan on ordering the original bolt off of this website: http://shopping.na3.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.3546502/sc.27/category.18308/.f
So why do you guys think these bolts keep breaking? Every time they break I have to go to ace hardware cause they're the only local store that has bolts close to that size. I hope the grade 8 bolt I have in it now will last for a long time, I bought 3 extra so if it does break I have a backup
Which I've also wondered has anyone ever heard/used/ordered anything off of that NetSuite site? It's been useful for diagrams but I haven't ordered anything off of it.
I'm wondering the legitimacy of that NetSuite website because if its actually from Coleman and ordering stuff works, that would open a new world for modifying these ct200u by ordering the ct200u-ex front fork assembly and using them on the ct200u's. + I've never heard of anyone using that website for stuff so that's why I'm curious.
Thanks for replying!

Are you referring to part #11 in terms of the bolt?

Got any pictures of your bike? You say you are literally snapping the bolt? Does the bolt fit snuggly in the tube? How does the steering feel when assembled? Any tight spots?

Well now that I got a new bolt for it, it fits good enough for use, it does have play in the front end and I think if the bolt with a tiny bit thicker, it would be fine. But the bolt I got is the biggest I can get around here. The last bolt literally snapped at the end where the threads were and the others eventually had their threads stripped or their nuts and bolts just fell off and the bolt snapped. Really at the moment, I've got a solution for the steering and I could change it up a bit later so there are not so many washers. Also, I've been thinking of using rubber grommets as washers or between some washers on the steering column and see if that helps some vibration, cause it's pretty bad and it really vibrated your hands. Main problem atm is no bearing in the back, but vibration is extremely horrible, it'll make your hands throb.
Anyways here are some pictures of it as of now. Yes I know there are way too many washers but they're necessary cause of the length of the bolt, and I have 3 nuts with lock washers cause of the nuts wanting to vibrate off from the past.

Ok, I am not familiar with these bikes specifically. Is there a simple roller bearing (like a bicycle) on both ends of the headtube?

Well, It has a 30 series torque converter and a go power sports performance kit for the Coleman's. I've done about 47-50ish going down the biggest hill near me. But I've been thinking that the vibrations may be because of the engine risers I have on it for the torque converter, Don't know... It's always had a little vibration but recently It's just been crazy, almost unrideable. I've seen on other forums and videos where other people had vibration problems but I'm not sure if anyone has figured out a solution. Might try some rubber grommets instead of washers, but that might make the steering stick.

Alright, so you are running this bike a minimum of twice it's stock speed. I suspect the steering geometry (Rake, trail, etc.) is only suitable for speeds up to 20-22 mph. In addition, at speeds approaching 50 mph, the actual balance of the wheels come into play. This combination of factors could easily contribute to the vibration you are experiencing.

I have ordered from Coleman and hopefully never again. Part of my order was that long fork bolt. From what I recall shipping was expensive and the parts took just over 6 weeks to arrive.

There's something about that fork bolt. Mine seems like it loosens up after every ride. I don't even ride a lot. Makes me wonder if that bolt is stretching. Loc tite didn't help much.

AAIM- did you modify the frame at all to fit the Torque converter? Did you use a Tav2.
I did not modify anything except for the bar that holds up the chain cover, which I cut out and that's usually what everyone has to do when installing a normal Tav2. Yes, I used a cheap eBay Tav2.

Which personally, these work out great for me and you can find them for around $60 or less.

But depending on what kind of torque converter you buy with a backplate, it might fit without any modifications to the frame. I could be wrong, but I think I might've gotten mine to fit one time without modifying, just using the different holes in the backplate but this made me use only 2 or 1 bolt to mount it on there, and I changed it back to the normal way with 4 bolts and just raised the engine up with square metal. I'm not too sure though since it was a year ago and I've modified it a lot since then.

nowadays it seems like nobody makes good products anymore...

I had to use a grade 8, 8 inch bolt with 3 locking nuts and 3 locking washers. As extreme as it seems, This was the only way I could fix this problem. I remember when I bought the bolt, nuts, and washers he was surprised when I told him my situation with me running through bolts like twigs. So far I haven't had any issues with this setup but I haven't been riding it much since I have a newer ct200u-ex which I haven't had any problems with that bolt, yet... I often refer to my ct200u as the problem bike.
