Coil is Fried!!!

The kill switch was wired wrong and I fried my coil...

I really dont think its possible to fry a coil like that? i mean its supposed to short it out...cant hurt it.

thats impossible. U cant fry a coil by earthing it out because thats all u do wen u press the killswitch, it earths the mag. It cant hurt the mag when u do it. U sure ur points arent dirty?

The only way I see him hurting it is if the coil possably had a charging circuit and he shorted that out for a long period of time.

If kill wire was hit by energized secondary...that would fry it.

Ding...Ding...Ding... You win the prize. That's exactly wht happened. For what ever reason I had it tied into the starter switch. Just a stupid mistake when I was wiring the switch panel.

What really makes me sick is that it was a brand new coil.
