New engine. Used clutch and new clutch. Engine runs perfect with choke on and choke off. As soon as i put the clutch on (used one and new one ) when i take choke off it just wants to rev.

Hello and welcome.

You have to be a little more specific as to clutch and engine make/model.
If not sure yourself, post a pic or two.
Also I'm not really understanding the problem?

Im using my phone not sure how to upload due to the site. Its a honda gc-160. Max torque 10 tooth clutch. If i have the chain off the engine will crank on choke. Run fine. Turn choke off engine runs fine. Put clutch on. Engine cranks on choke. Runs fine. Take off choke kart is wide open full throttle down the road. The idle is as far down as the lever will take it.

The clutch has nothing to do with the engine reving up. If you crank it and the wheels try to turn the clutch is bad but kills the motor. Could it be that your throttle cable is to short and when you pull the motor to tighten the chain you are actually tightening the cable making it go wide open??

I can just make a guess..

but from what your exlaining.. it's neither the clutch nor the engine, it's you!

No, honestly;
when installing the clutch you "do something" you're not telling...
and THAT's what makes your engine revving to the moon...
if the engine runs and idles fine w/o the clutch, it will do exactly that with a clutch.
so you're either relocating the throttle cable (pulling WOT) or doing something else that makes the engine rev up.

So :useless: I'm afraid :(

This makes very little sence to me. Are you sure the engine is even at idle speed?

Sounds like the choke is pulling the revs down enough to disengage the clutch and the when you move the choke off, the engine picks up revs and your kart takes off without a driver....yikes!
