? chain or belt

found an electric scooter 4 free all the electronics are shot but i was thinking i have an extra leaf blower engine just collecting dust why not put it on the scooter now my question is do they make a centrifical clutch 2 be used with a belt or will i need 2 replace the whole rear wheel assembly and put a chain will post pics once i get the motor mounted.

I haven't seen a clutch that would use a belt, at least not a small one like the scooters use. You may be better off using a chain, especially on a gas engine.

What model scooter is it? Depending on the model I may be interested in the electronics you're taking out, are you willing to give those away if shipping is paid for?

sorry cant help u there guess there was some type of fire or something melted were the batt. were housed and all of the electric stuff burned picked it up 4 free on my way 2 work

ha ha

got the motor mounted but didnt have a cen clutch so i opted 2 use a lever type clutch system it ran fine 4 about 30min but then the belt just gave way so i think im going 2 have 2 opt out and buy the whole rear wheel ***. and also a cen clutch i think that would solve the problem now the ? is how many tooth clutch & sprooket will keep posted

Oh, well thanks anyway.

The lever system would probably have lasted longer is the belt was a smooth one, not with the teeth in it. I would say to find something about the same size as what's already on it. I don't know what sizes they sell these things though.
