chain help

Will check that - Thanks robbie. I want to order a sprocket and chain but want to make sure I get the right one. Figure I would look on ebay.

Down in the valley area of the sprocket it is 8mm

So much to learn.

So does that make it a #40 then?

#40 has half inch links, which would be .500 on your measuring tool. It's way bigger than 8mm.

8mm is the only bike or kart chain you'll see measured in metric units. Search "8mm chain" on ebay and you'll get a few hits. Also search "8mm sprocket" and see what choices you have for your back wheel.

Is 40/41 chain same as a 420 or 425 chain?

I was looking there and the #40 chain seems to be the same if I understand it correctly.
