I was wondering ...would it be possable to use a TC to replace a sprocket and clutch?? you know ,put the driven on the axle. I'm sure some of you have been asked this before, if not tryed it. I was just wondering what the out come would be...probable burn the h e l l out of the belt.

That wont work you still need a jackshaft someone on here tryed it allready and failed miserably.

I'm not going to say "yes it will work" or "no it won't" putting the driven on the axel, but if you look at golf cart rear ends the driven is mounted right to the gearbox and work with no issues.. just my 2 cents

No it wont work, ratio will be too high.

Yes, but they have a gear box to give them low ratio. We use sprockets and chain.

Has any progress been made on this suspension? Chad Clancy has the right idea...but it's a little more then that.

Since they kept bragging about their suspension being patented....I went ahead and looked it up.

The internal design is shown on page 11 or if your lazy, just click HERE. The last 3-4 pages describes how it works. This should give some ideas on how to make your own....obviously not just copying this design...it is patented after all.

hay guys, I did this yesterday and the day before... built the motor mount that will alow the motor to rotate when the kart is folded...what do you guys think??

remember, My girl and I and our 5yr old and 2 yr old will be playing with this thing so it doesn't have to scream down the street.

kk I didnt use anything special to make it, had to play around with it alot to make sure there wouldn't be any colision of parts but other than that nothing special... chopsaw, welder, drill press.

ya freakboy .. cutting the jack is next and putting on a gaurd over the chains.. I still have to get cable for it also.

I would also like to note that I have gon around and viewed some of the projects that you guys have don and help with and I have to say that you guys realy know your stuff. I'm glad I found this site.

I meant what tools do you need to fold the kart, like are you gonna have to carry around a socket set to fold it, or just an adjustable wrench? looks like if you wanted to you could fit a 6.5 in there.

Im sure if you drew up a good set of plans you could sell quite a few on ebay, and maybe gopednation.

Oh ..ok I know what your saying. there is one bolt that needs to be tightened out (pic 1) and I am pritty sure that a 6.5would fit, its just a mater of braket and pivit placement. this video showes how it folds.
