I am new to the site, but I am really liking the quad.
i would like to know where I could find the suspension for the quad front and rear. Could anyone steer me in the right direction?

Oh it's made by GoPed :)

The GoQuad... cool. Haha, those little motors have plenty of power and torque... about 3-4HP I'm estimating... but around 10,000's of revs.

the first picture is me pushing it with my little boy.
the ather one is my little girl ready to rip it up.

Hey thats pretty cool. How does that suspension hold up with an adult on it? What spring rate do you have on the shocks.

Great idea, you can get shocks like that on ebay for like 10 bucks.

those springs say 750 per inch ... but I dont think they are that strong. with an adult on it it doesn't bounce around as much as it does with the kids on it ..I pushed my GF around in it and she loved it " this thing is better then the batmobile" , ... this thing is alot more agile then the Tumbler go kart... **** it I knew I should have made two.

with the adults on the springs are probably almost at full compression so its alot stiffer. But when you add a motor and speed then hopefully it will suck up some of the small bumps and the rebound will help the tires stay connected to the road and or holes in the dirt. The angle of the shock and mount location should make a difference on how stiff and soft the shocks are.

Im looking forward to your results when you add a motor to it. Im sure it is going to be a blast to ride. I want one.

They way they are mounted, you are multiplying the weight they are seeing. "750 lbs per inch" is at the shock, but the lever of your suspension arms is probably about at least 3:1, making every 100 lbs like 300 lbs. ;)

ya..that 3:1 ratio sounds about right .. Ive tightend the springs so its nice and stiff ... the kids can't get enough of it, but daddy gets tired fast. you can see what I meen I have a new youtube channel ( Tmanskarts ) my last video is of me pushing it.

Well I have decided to use a little 2.5hp from harbor frieght, with a jack shaft set up...maby...
This is what I have it mind a 12 tooth clutch running to a 40t on the jack with 35 chain, then a 9T or 10T from jack to a 54T on axle with 41 chain.

What do you guys think?? I dont know how to calculat all that ... the tire is a 10" and Idont know how fast it would go.

I would realy like some input befor I spend the money

Hey let me know if that works out. I was thinking of doing that same ratio setup on a jackshaft until I can get my hands on TC.
The grilfriend doesn't need to go fast yet.

By my calculations it will be about 5mph for a 9t or 6 for a 10t sprocket on the jack shaft.

with the jackshaft, you can do something along the lines of 12t on engine to 24 on jackshaft, then 10t on jackshaft to 25t on the axle. That will give you a 5:1 ratio from engine to axle and a top speed of 21mph.
