Can you rent a tire mounting tool?

Last winter, I had to unmount and remount a snowblower tire on a 6" rim. It was a total nightmare.

This summer, I'd like to pop off my dingo's tires, replace the valve stems and probably replace the 25 year old tires.
But thats probably the last time I'll be mounting small tires and rims like this for years and years, so I don't want to buy the kit, not even the harbor freight one.

I know autozone well rent tools to people essentially for free. Do they or anyone else do anything like that for a small tire mounter?

And no I'm not going to buy one at HF and then just return it when I'm done.

Remounting a tire of that size is easy at least to me, and I use the ‘fire method‘ to seat the rim and do the initial inflate.
Unmounting is the nightmare, I agree, especially if it‘s stuck on the rim with the help of rust.
I might just buy the HF tire machine or similar from a vendor. I’ve got tons of small tire vehicles…..

I wouldn’t have suspected they’d have a small one for rent but it never hurts to ask in the old fashioned way ☎️

WTR has the right idea though.

On this old snowblower, both were miserable. It took a week to get it unmounted, I had to build my own custom tire press from scrap plywood and a bunch of giant clamps i had. Then I had to buy some big 14" metal tire levers to get it back on. But still, other than this one tire change on this go kart, I likely have no small tire repairs to do. Even the snow blower whose tire I repaired, is getting sold, and my primary snowblower has tracks, no tires.

I just buy from HF, use it, then sell it. Tire stores will probably do it, but grudgingly. They don't have the right tools for small tires. IF there is a tractor dealer or a small engine repair shop, they would probably have the right tool. Auto Zone does not rent tire changers.
