well i got it all up and running after a small prob with the fan and rad, but was going well,m took it round the block, and found the only prob was that it was mega hard to get into drive, u sorta had to push it forward a lil then seamed to go into gear bit easyer, so my friend said he would do sumin with the pole thingy, that goes from leaver to gear box, anyway he has messed it up as now it wont go into gear, sumin in the gear box has moved, cant belive it so now gotta take the whole thing apart again just to sort this prob out, should it have jumped out as easy as this ? or do u think this could have been the underline prob to start with ?

right i got it all up and running again, but still got the prob when changes up a gear, not all the time but every now and then i get a horrid crunch/banging noise and feels like the kart is being kicked, cant really make out where its coming from, sounds like the gearbox but maybe the transfer box thingy just dont know, the gearbox has greese in it, would it help if i put transmission fluid in ? and can i just put it in with the greese in there, or would i need to somehow get the greese out ?

if the fluid dont make it sound better im afraid you will have to open it up and make sure nothing is binding worse case senario a gear is missing a few teeth.

umm were did you buy this kart at? if you still have contact with the person ask them if they have the manual. and my guess is when you put it together something wasnt in the correct place and that causeing the binding.

It sounds like the forward reverse gearbox problem might have been the cause of your other problems, like maybe it locked up at some point and that's what caused the broken teeth on those other gears. I'd say you need to take it apart and inspect it for damage, it could have originally been damaged by someone shifting from forward to reverse while the cart was still moving. If it's not too much work you might want to take a look at the gears you just put in it to make sure they are doing ok too.

yea was thinking that, total nightmare really but hey at least i know how to do it now i guess, also thought it may be the clutch ? as thought if the clutch isnt going properly maybe thats why the teeth got damaged in the first place, excuse these bad vids, also not sure what ones worked as ive just changed motherboard on my PC and havent sorted sound etc yet so irll just upload all the videos i done, sure your here the noise etc in one of them
