That's why ya want the bleeder there. I think everyone makes that mistake once.
Many years ago, I could not figure out why they would put the bleeders on the bottom of the two rear calipers but not the front on my 99 Contour SVT (gotta add that it was an SVT lol). This was after a full brake job. You know where Im going... One of the very first times ever working on a car. I also learned how easily a 12 point wrench can round off a bolt head.

Well my solution was was to put vacuum on the reservoir, hoses on the bleeders, and suck brake fluid UP through the system. Worked so well that I never swapped the calipers. Even moreso, ive done this a bunch of times since. Some cars it doesnt work with. Not sure why. For that scenario I just put vacuum on all the nipples. Then I get to work on the car.

The hydraulic brakes are much better. They won't quite lock up the tires, but they slow it down pretty well. I think if I had a rotor larger than 6" it would work really well.

Thank you all for your help figuring this out.

Thats ‘renchin at its finest. Do what ya gotta do.
Thats what the mighty vac was made for. Although it ain”t very mighty.
Be careful with the nipple/hose thing. Don’t wanna get Denny excied.
I best not mention the clamps I use on the hoses on the nipples...
