Got the stage 2 and mikuni done the other day have test rode a few times definitely need to address the steering (lots of understeer. Gonna cut the spindle brackets off and adjust camber and caster. Still gotta finish tuning the carb but it pulls hard.

I raced karts for quite awhile and learned those 800x6" tires on 9"or 10" wide rims you got work awesome on the right side (only) of modern offset chassis/oval-track racekarts, their frames flex A LOT around corners to unload weight from the inside rear tire transferring that weight to the outside front tire. But lots of guys that race straight rail karts (like yours) have discovered running those super wide rear tires cause major understeer issues, especially on older rear engine chassis racekarts like yours with probably 75% of your body & karts combined weight on the rear tires and only 25% of your combined weight up front to help out with steering grip.

Adding adjustable caster & camber is a very cool mod and will probably help a bit, but I'm fairly certain your chassis was designed to have a way more neutral turning ability with like 4" or maybe 5" wide rear slicks. I know those big meats look cool back there but they just get way too much traction on racekarts like yours, they cause major push issues just like your experiencing.

I'm wondering how much of that pushmi-pullyu steering is the fault of the front end setup and how much is due to the very simple fact of accepted push/pull of a straight axle in the rear.

Sorry for the slow updates, started a new job and have been busy. But cut the spindles off tonight and got them back together with 10 degrees caster and -2 camber and it’s so so much better for handling, could definitely improve it with smaller rear slicks but it’s not a concern at this point. I can at least turn around on my street with out getting off of the kart now LOL.
