Here's my parts pile, I still have a bunch more to get but I can keep gathering the parts during the rest of winter. I'm using a 9hp honda clone with a torque converter. The frame is a modifed arachnid, stretched a foot and wider by 4 inches. I'm not quite done with the frame and I might have to redo something later, since this is my first build ever I don't know what I might have screwed up. Hope I can get this done by June 1 it depends on money, which tight and time which can also be tight. I don't have a lot parts around so I need to buy everything for this project ebay and craigs list is were I like to do my searching for parts. Well i'm very interested to see what everybody else builds, so keep updating those build logs

Finally I can order some parts and the weather is starting to turn for the better. I should have some progress next weekend after the parts get here.:wai:

Made some progress

Well I finally made some progress today with the front end and I will be working on the rear end tomorrow. I changed the front from what the plans said, instead of 9 3/8" shocks I went with 11" so I could change to better shocks at a later date. I had to raise the shock mounts, and I also used heim joints for the A arms.

Paint

Well I made some progress this past weekend, I got the frame, A arms, swing arm and floor pan painted and started to put them together. I used scrap diamond plate I found at work, but it was extremly bright so I painted it black, it turned out real nice looking. The last pic is of the shed that I'm building the kart out of.

Chassis done

Well I got the chassis done, I still need the steering shaft, then mount engine and all the details that come with that. I should have plenty of time for some shake down time before I submit the finished video.

Looks good, the only thing is i think that the extra length is going to really effect the handling, it was a long kart to begin with and you just made it longer. Hope it works out fine.

To be honest you have me thinking about doing this now too... It looks fantastic.. I wouldn't mind having something like this to cruise around where I live.. My Yerf rebuild it for out in the desert but this could be pretty sweet... Good place to start with from ground up fabrication.. I eventually want to build a Shredder II or similar but need some experience first... Love your build!!
