I did a lot today:
-Tacked spindles
-Built a new work bench
-Rebuilt a briggs engine
-Sealed up a Trans-axle
-Put the engine for the kart back together(as much as possable the stupid clutch is still giving me problems i might just break down and make the shop do it)
-Built a welder cart
-mounted the engine
-built an adjustable exhaust stabilizer
-Mounted the stabilizer and exhaust

Ive been going back and forth to lowes all day too haha love the weekend

I know the welder cart looks like i thought it up drunk but thats what happens when i dont plan ahead for projects haha
Here are some pictures

Thanks Ghanem
--Its amazing what a wire brush can do aesthetically for parts the pedals look a lot better and i have the tabs for them welded on

--I knocked out the chain tensioner

--I also started on the supports they really give the kart more shape
tomorrow ill hopefully finish the supports and start on shifter linkage i have a good idea on how i can work the two separate reverse and gear shifters from one lever.

well if its un-sprung it would push the lever if the gear selector is in neutral... in 1st through 6th the reverse cant be engaged... either way if it doesn't work I'm still using the idea for the gear selector and maybe a spring holding the reverse in neutral than a brake cable to actuate it thats the easiest way to do it i guess haha

Today i welded in two more top rail supports and cleaned up some other welds.
Also i decided to take apart the swingarm to finish it and brace it more

EDIT::I forgot to add that i chopped up the exhaust and re routed it without the muffler i guess ill get a canister muffler that's a little smaller the stock one is huge also i welded some bolts on for the brace i think a chrome tip would look good on it if i can find a tip that size

I don't think ill finish because i still have a lot of work to do along with exams so sorry if anyone cared to see this build finished by the deadline but I'm very happy with what I've gotten done so far I've definitely learned a lot!

When the contest is over will we be able to finish the build in the contest build thread section or will unfinished threads be moved to the project section?

Finished the swingarm today and ordered
-A gas tank
-Jam nuts for my heims
-High misalignment spacers
-40mm Air Filter
-throttle components
-5/8-3/8 reducer spacer because im using my two extra heims for my swingarm

I cut the extra length of the tubing holding the flanges in place and boxed it off with sheet steel it looks a whole lot better but there's still some bracing ill need to do once i get some more flux wire

Thanks for all your comments im asuming i can continue on this thread?
I decided to go a different way on the a-arms and make them single a-arms with adjustable camber kind of a cool design i think and very functional.
I Also finished the bulk of the chassis braceing and ran out of supplies haha

I got my new air filter today as well :wai:

The swingarm will be fitted with heims tomorrow and i need to get some spacers that fit better
