Ok, so I was trying to hook up the kill switch on my Briggs 5 HP flathead and to do that I had to take off the blower housing and starter. While I was taking it off, I didn't know how recoil starters worked, so the starter came apart! The pulley and spring completely separated, and now I need to put the starter back together, but I'm confused as to how. On the side of the pulley that the spring is on, there is a 'c' shaped thing sticking out, and I think that the spring is supposed to wrap around it, but it might also be supposed to wind up inside the c. Anyone know of a good video tutorial? Anyone might make one? Sorry there's no pictures, I don't have pictures of my go kart on my laptop. I know the engine works, I just can't start it.

Or on the other hand, one could say that it does not work!
Myself frying my brain...

Take off the cover and use a socket in a drill to spin the engine over with that. Bam! Now you start and drive your kart not getting tired from hand starting your motor.

Oh yeah and I have no clue how to rewind a Briggs starter.
