Briggs help

ok so i have a 2.5 or 5 briggs i have heard its both.

anyway i took out the governor and now it tends to backfire a lot when it decelerates any one know if i can fix it?

Popping on the decel from the exhaust normally means its too lean or too rich. Most engines do it though. I wouldnt worry.

ok thanks ill try adjusting the carb
