I was reading Doc Sprocket's Governor removal safety reality check thread, and he mentioned a governor adjustment.
He was talking about removing a screw behind the onboard throttle on the engine.
I've attached a screenshot of a parts diagram for my engine, close up on the throttle arm.
Can anyone tell me if adjusting the governor is possible?

Loosen bolt on governor arm, rotate governor arm clockwise till throttle is wide open.
Grab governor shaft while holding arm wide open, and twist clockwise.
tighten governor arm bolt.

That is your static setting, now connect tachometer and adjust your stop screw (if equipped), or use spring holes to set WOT no load rpm to 3600.

If your governor hasnt been removed, or messed with, i would verify no load rpm before doing a static setting.

flathead briggs are adjusted exactly the same way..

loosen 562/592 and rotate the shaft clockwise then tighten 562/592 again.

Oh and I am fairly confident that is not what you wanted,
you wanted more rpms w/o removing the governor, am I right?

Well DON'T!

just remove the governor
you won't notive the difference between 3600 and 3800 rpms,
and once you creep above (say to 4200rpms) chances are the plastic gear is starting to slowly give considering the age of your engine...
once it shatters you'll be in trouble

Ok, I was just wondering if it was possible and if it was a good idea.
But I will not mess with the governor unless I'm removing it.
After I put a billet rod and flywheel on it.
