Loosen the throttle lever. 10mm I think.
I'd also add an extra return spring to the lever. Hook it on to the fan cover.
Thats What I do.

Remove the arm completely... theres a plastic spacer and a spring washer (washer that is bent). Remove, the spring washer and replace the arm back on, dont forget the retainer clip ontop (be careful not to bend the thin long spring connected to said arm). Tighten the nut back on "Just" enough that the arm slides freely AND doesnt wobble up n down... much.

A weak/medium strength spring is good... should be easily able to be pulled apart w/ your finger tips about 3-4 inches stretch. Drill alil hole at the end of the arm for leverage.

Lets see how it is positioned(a pic)... Really there's 2 ways it can go inboard or outboard for the sprocket..

Take something with a straight edge, like a ruler and set it on the sprocket flush. Then slide/space the clutch out until the sprocket on it is flush with the ruler as well.

Remember the chain should not be overly tight, you should have about a half inchish of play in the chain as well. An overly tight chain will cause failure of the clutch/chain/or sprocket.

Ok so I aligned it and it rode down the street better then chain fell off I assume I didn't tighten the bolt enough....however I did hook the linkage as pic above but guess spring not strong enough cause it won't pull back....I am having trouble hooking up throttle linkage please need more pics

....I reached back and moved throttle to rabbit and just didn't seem fast enough think I might have to remove gov.

what size is your old engine??? looks like you may have the wrong clutch for the new engine cus that clutch should slide all the way back on that engine shaft. a predator 6.5 engine will have a 3/4 shaft. i think your using a 5/8 clutch.

My old engine was a 5hp and this 212cc is a 5.5hp I believe....what do you mean the clutch should slide back more more sprocket is welded to shaft

We need better pics. The 212cc is a 6.5hp not 5.5.

What do you mean its welded to the shaft?! Noooooo no no no no.

Sigh, give us some more pics/better pics.

What are you using behind the clutch to space it out to where the sprockets line up?

I think they're wondering why there is a gap between the engine block and the clutch as pointed out. Possibly someone was trying to compensate for the welded axle sprocket by moving the clutch out on the crankshaft.
