Can this system get 350lbs of kart and driver up to 25mph while still having enough torque for 20 degree slopes?

I think it'll be tough. We're moving about 200lbs of kart + driver at about that pace on slopes. It hits 35mph on flat pavement. If we geared down to a 25mph top speed, it'd likely haul another 150lbs around pretty well and handle 20° slopes. He can crawl a 35° hill with decent pep but the motor gets hot.

So what's the actual difference between the 48v and 60v motors? I've put 70v through my 48v motor without any issues. Also, the 48v motor with a shunt modded 48v controller pulls 50 amps and moves my 300lbs of me and kart up hills with ease.

With-out a speed controller (just a battery pack, beefy switch & motor)

Take-off (up to) ~100A
Accelerating ~50A
Constant/crusin ~10A - 12A
Top speed ~14 MPH

So, (as Sid said) the speed controller (available amps) doesn't seem to be holding the motor back

The only advantage, I see, is a "harder" acceleration
...but, at the expense of "lots" of amps
…& the top speed was still ~14MPH either way"

Hey FA, thanks for the response, but I'm looking for the difference between the 48v and 60v motors. I think the 60v is less rpm per volt which means it should have more torque per rpm. I know I'm running th 48v motor at over 7000rpm at 70v and think the 60v motor won't be spinning as fast with the same volts. Better for long term durability.
