I love 60 degree v6 GM engines.. They sound like an angry cat with its tail pulled. I always wanted to build a FWD with RWD flat top pistons for like 14.1 ish compression and run it on E85.

DIY? Feed boost to the water tank, the boost pushes the water into the pre boost intake area. So 1980's. Does it work? Yes. Is it optimal? No.

why use a FWD as a sport platform? You'll lose alot of grip under hard acceleration. I'm all about doing things in a less than optimal way, I like challanges that are associated with it, but personally if I were going for motorsports I'd only do rear or all wheel drive

If it was a good driver before the rebuild and blower, it will be better with insta-boost... That's why a fwd.

I can't paint until I port and the brass threaded rod shows up. Bright Chevy orange. Really pops in person, not so much on camera. It's fun acting stupid once in a while. I just hope the trans survives....

Still waiting on the brass rod. I sprayed the front cover tonight. The more orange that comes from the rattle crayon, the more I love this engine. Really doesn't look like an engine that has 281,000 miles on it. Stock pistons, stock bore with a hone. Well, modified SOHC pistons stock to the block. Really tight still.. In DIY Go Kart style, the crank pulley was manufactured by Briggs & Stratton.

Rattle crayon I haven't heard before. IMO it's a crazyman original. You color with it. Evreryone else calls them rattle cans. Tape just helps stay inside the lines.

When I get my DL back, it'll be one bada$$ machine.

A little paint really can change the whole look of an engine, I have a '98 350 vortec and that engine looks brand new, just wire-wheeled all the surfaces and painted them, the block is black and the valve covers are orange.

I believe that that motor in that saturn, is a product of GM sending the Honda motor at the time to japan where they replicated it and then started producing it in the plant in mexico?

Go to a junk yard take off the valve cover from a saturn and it goes on a honda and vice a versa. So if the honda guys are willing to do it, its got to yield some sort of fun.

I may be wrong though. Im sure someone will chime in if so.

The blower sits so tight that the injectors hafta shoot from the hip (bottom up).

I wrinkle blacked the blower last night. It really is starting to look like what I wanted. The paint wasn't fully cured in the first pic.

Due to clearance issues, I have to run an LS1 GM throttle body to clear the brake booster. 75mm inlet on the blower. I could use a Ford 5.0 TB, but I'd rather keep the electronics all GM.

Ended up with a 4.3 Vortec v6 TB. The LS1 TB ran to $60.. The TB is the same diameter as the inlet to the blower. I ordered software from Israel to hack my ecm... At $18 shipped it probably doesn't include the cable...

What's better? Hacking in an aftermarket box or hacking a stock box? OBD2 is a curse... Either I learn how to tune it or I become an antique.

Joke later.. Israel is the cat's name from the smurfs...

You know who else likes hacking?

Got the intake almost finished yesterday. All I have to do to it now is add a bung for the heater hose and a bung for the EGR to thread into.
