He sold that without the engine. I may pick up that 3.5hp to learn more on small engines (he only wants $20, cheap practice). He also said he has go carts for sale (not posted on CL) so Ill see what he has. I'll be sure to post pictures and price!

If this isn't a good deal, then I think I will just give my 1988 club car golf cart a makeover (brand new batteries, possible upgrade from 36v to 48v, lift and new wheels..plus more)

Looks like it has a reduction unit or something on the left side.
I would buy this kart or go look at it from the pics. You can always make your own roll cage to give it that look you are looking for.
$200 for a running dog is a fair deal. Test drive it and check out how it drives.
Then get some big tires and change your gearing for your needs.
But first what is that big box in front of the left rear wheel?

Email him and say you want to look at it and have cash? For that price you need to work it so you are the first to come get it. Unless it has been on there awhile now. But newly listed email about 3 times telling him you want to buy it.

You got it! A few more were posted this weekend while I was gone. Now I'm on the fence. I'm going to see how much money it would be to fix up my golf cart. If it's a ridiculous amount, then forget it. Buying gas would end up being cheaper.

I would not buy that for $300. Also thats not even a off road cart.

Find yourself a few non running B&S or Tecumseh 5hps and get one running, great learning doing stuff like that... Thats what I would look into anyways...
Well I finished my Small Engine Repair course last month. Been wanting to do something like this. Havent found any non running engines for sale. Jst lawn mowers and everything else that I dont need with em.
Pick up a few of those lawnmowers and tinker with them. Heck, I just got 2 non-runners for free by asking. A 2 stroke snowblower and a 24cc weed wacker. Our friends were going to junk them but I asked if I could have them and they happily let me haul them off.
