Bicycle + Honda GX200 Clone = FUN

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum, and I've been lurking for a while, and I wanted to introduce myself.

This is my bike trailer powered by a 6.5HP GX200 clone engine, but with gov removed and good flow to my airfilter, so getting more HP than stock.

It's great and gets 100MPG when driven on avg, and is almost too fast for a bicycle. These clone engines are great, they have lots of HP and TQ, and are very easy to work on.

These are OLD pictures, because I changed to a better Blue Pacific bike, and the trailer is now BLACK and not red, but the engine is still blue

I'm here @ diygokarts because I'm interested in small engines, and there is tons of good info on clones. I've always wanted a go-kart when I was young, but never had one, so this was the next best thing, especially since I can drive it in town. I plan on getting new 18# valve springs so the valves don't float, and want to eventually have the engine charge my 12V NiCd battery for my lights and car horn.

Here's some more pics. As you see, I've changed bikes a few times with it, and some pics are older than others as I was in the building and upgrading process.

The trailer NOW is black, with SOLID foam poly tires, and upgraded high-speed go-kart bearings. "No Fear" decals on the gas tank, and a grenade sticker on the pull starter. All HP and warning decals are removed intentionally. I'll get some more recent pics up, but I have to take some new pics, and resize them.

It looks very much like a belt centrifugal clutch, as seen from this pic where you can see the spring weights of the clutch

I had this same idea a few years ago, but couldn't be bothered making one. It looks like fun!

It's a regular Centrifugal clutch, with a pulley instead of a sprocket. The one in the picture is a Max-Torque pulley clutch, and it did not last but 2 weeks. I now have a Hilliard Extreme-Duty clutch, it was a #35 chain clutch, but a friend of mine ground the sprocket off and welded on a pulley. The Hilliard clutch is awesome and handles the stress for miles and miles. The belt is nice and quiet, and easier to disconnect than a chain. I will go for a #40 chain in a future design when I make another trailer.
