Sorry. They fit on my little laptop when I scroll right so I figured they they weren't TOO big. You must be running a low resolution. Those are taken straight from my phone (LG Dare 3.2mp). My new Droid X, which is currently in Memphis, TN, packs 8mp. I'M SO EXCITED. And it shoots 720p video so when I finish my PITA kart, there will be some good videos up here.

ok just bought a pos harbor freight 90 amp flux core......... hey its all i can afford

I have that same welder. Use the wire it came with to practice, but when you want to do a project, go buy some good quality wire and put it in there. I wish I would have discovered that fact sooner. Im running Lincoln electric wire right now, muuuuch less splatter and more consistent welds. Also, I found preheating the parts with a torch helps too

I like Lincoln Innershield. I used Innershield NR-212 for the welds above. My cousin has HF wire in his welder that I use quite often and i get real good quality welds with it. The one thing you NEED to do, is get a better ground clamp. The crappy ones that come on smaller welders are ****! Even the one on my 90amp Century is crap(which ive been meaning to replace.) Id suggest one of these gigantic old fashion clamps, only $10. At a minumum, fork over $6 for one of these. Trust me, those crappy clamps make the weld sputter and splatter. A good ground is a must for a clean, smooth, quality wire weld.

I have a harbor freight 220v Flux core/mig 120 amp welder that i got on sell. They get good penetration but the flux core wire splatters to much. When I save up enough money, Im swapping mine to mig. They weld better and you can lay a weld down right after another.

I agree with you on the ground clamp.

It makes the welds crappy and on stuff with paint on it you can't get a ground no where. I have stepped up to the big circle clamp and it helped me a lot.

The ground wire is almost to small on the harbor freight welders as well.

If I weld for a while on a high heat setting my ground wire feels like the rubber coating is goin to melt off the wire.

Could i gain any better performance out of my welder if stepped up to a bigger wire on my ground wire?

My stick welder has 2 gauge wire on it and my hf has a 8 or 10 gauge ground wire on it, maybe.

You know, Ive wondered about that little clamp it came with. Mainly just the thin surface area that actually comes in contact with the metal. I usually try to clamp the piece in a way that the back side of it touches the workpiece too. I think Im going to go pick up one of those 10 dollar clamps next week. Our huge miller synchrowaves at school have the same clamp as you linked me to.

Oh, and Im about 90 percent sure the wire i bought was the nr-211-mp. I got it from home depot, for like 10 or 11 bucks.

Actually, I just checked, I have 211. I got tired of paying $10 per pound of wire and just forked over $50 for a 10lb. spool. Saves money in the long run.

I doubt it, but a bigger cable cant hurt anything. Come to think of it though, if heat is being generated, some amperage is being consumed. Therefore, Id say replace it.

Never said a 25lb spool would fit. The only welder that could use that cost $1500. A 10lb will fit.
