Okay, here goes it. I love beer and everything about beer. I'm a registered frat boy, hell I was president of my chapter, I've been an officer in a home brewing association, and I've toured a few different breweries.

What are your top 5 beers?

1. Shiner Bock
2. Dos XX
3. Landshark
4. Blue Moon
5. Lonestar

I'm sure a great deal of this comes from where I live, I can buy Mexican Lagar much cheaper than people in the northern states and being in Houston with our richly Hispanic population we have crazy sales on all of those once a week.
:cheers2:

Okay, I can see we don't have all that many beer fans around here, makes sense given the typical age group. Heh.

We've got a good number of people here above 21 but I think the majority is under 20. I'd like to discourage underage drinking. That was the sense I got when the age thread went down.

Next time you bbq pick up some cerveza IE: modelo especial, corona, dos xx, landshark, tecate (if you're cheap), etc... throw in some limes and fire up the grill. Thats the best stuff for cooking outside, fishing, pool party, etc.

Cheap beer (bud light, coors, keystone etc) is que horrible. The ****tiest beer that I can drink is Pabst, it still sucks.

Benjo, if you ever come down to the states, you need to try Shiner... I'm biased since i'm from Texas but its literally better than soda.

Pass me a Corona, leave the lime for las touristas! (F**KS up the flavour. If it was supposed to be there, they'd put it in at the factory!)

Interesting. As I heard it, it is only intended to wipe the rim of the bottle before you put it to your mouth. Kills all the germs and shmegma from being shipped around in the back of open trucks in Mexico. Not put in the drink at all.

I asked several people about this when I was in Puerto Vallarta. Each time, that's the story I got from everybody I asked. They also said only the idiot tourist started putting it IN the beer!

So whatever the truth, I'll go with this!

That sounds interesting. All I can say it thats what the Mexicans here tell me, it makes sense. We've got a good deal of flies here in Texas and Mexico, it does do the job. A bit of lime goes into your drink, not bad.

On a side note, I actually do like some lime in my beer from time to time, not always but its a good chance of pace. I hate the idea of salt and lime in everything but its good for an alternative.

All the mexicans I know just have the lime to eat alongside the beer, with some regular or lime salt on it.
