Been trying to get back to the $100 Bird but it needs more time than I am able to give it at the moment, so instead, I did these...

Black kart is a Carter Super Wheels, sold it for $300 (traded fixing a push mower)

White kart is a Eagle model #02521, sold it for $560 (paid $100). I thought it was homebuilt til I cleaned it up and started finding logos.

Picking this (thanks Google) USA Ind. Bullet Sportsmen kart later today for $200, hoping it has the 10hp motor on it still. I usually have to negotiate before seeing them, when getting them cheaply that is.

Now the debate is, 40 series and Tillotson 212 (would have to try to sell for $950) or predator and 30 series (would try to sell for $800). It doesn't have suspension but will have pretty big tires. My investment total is $505 with the predator or would be about $640 with the faster setup, any opinions?

Uhm, 40 series won’t work with a Tillotson 212, that would use a 30 series as well. I would definitely go for the Tilly if you can afford it, they’re supposedly more powerful, and they’re definitely better made than Predators.

I just run 3/4 to 1" sleeve adapters on them, havent had a problem on past ones. This thing has a 3/4" jackshaft, they do make 30 series with that setup but they have a longer shipping lead time

Ahhh, ok. Just remember that 40 series is more than needed. More expensive, as well as more rotating mass to dampen acceleration. You’d be better off with a 30 series.

I haven't made up my mind yet, just hate waiting on "special" ordered parts. Quickest I'm able to get a 3/4 driver 3/4 driven 30 series is about 2 weeks

Now gotta order the wheels tires and go pick up an engine. Just gonna do the predator on this one. I've got a Murray Explorer I may go with the tillotson on, although I may just do an electric start duromax on it.
