Ooooooo, another 10+ yr. member resurfaces! :arf:
Yeah it's pretty darn nuts. But I mean, it's Barbie, and that honestly loses a bunch of cool factor there. :D

Several others on YouTube are build their own off of a Powerwheels. 2 are building a Grave Digger and some other has a truck of some sort. To me it's just eh, I'll watch it. Sure looks fun though. Rather B Welding's Ninja 650 Grave Digger will be interesting to watch.

The acceleration and offroad handling of the barbie cart is second to none ive ever seen.

The sport bike builds are always disappointing. Ive never seen someone get the gearing right. Aaand, that 450 is plenty fast, they have trouble keeping the tires down as is.

Honestly it's hardly even a kart, it's what I what l'd call a sport buggy. Go karts is stuff like my kart, no suspension, and basically as simple as possible(without being downright dangerous).
I'd say Carsandcameras did a pretty good job gearing the cross kart, it can still break traction, and go over 70 mph.
Sounds about perfect to me. :D
On a related note, Diy motorsport(a member on here) is building a Honda V-twin kiddie bed kart.
And yeah, lot of bike karts are "eh" to me, since they get so expensive it's hard to relate. I don't think I have a single project that I've spent more than $200 on or is less than 30 years old.
Don't get me wrong! I'd love to put a Harley big twin on a kart, but it's so darn expensive it'll probably never happen.

I think the mini jeep is probably one of my favorite video series ever, but I wish someone would come up with something different, everyone's trying to copy it.

The Barbie part is what makes it funny. It makes the difference between "Hahahahaha that's f'n awesome" and "Jeez, what kind of moron puts that much money into a toy Hummer H2"

Cooties aren't real.

That is whats i cannot understud with most of builders..

They got tools, money, anything and cannot do simple math from 2nd grade..

Today, you can find any specs for everything on internet, so to find gear ratios for any bike is piece of cake..

Even with top speed data and tyre size you can do simple calculations to get what you want..

I ussualy use first gear for fun, than top speed is what you get..

On honda nsr project calculation said top speed 92, on gps i get 97km/h..

I am not some smarta$$ , just sayin 😋

Rear axle roughed out. It's been difficult to make improvements on this design over the original. I'm an engineer for a living and in my opinion they've built a lean machine.

Completing the design and scoring a cheap motor would be good triggers for starting a build. People get desperate just before tax return season so maybe something will come available soon. In the mean time, I'll keep developing my cad model.

What brand/type/CCs/mods you thinking engine-wise? :D
150cc seems like it'd be the minimum. 450 honda would be nice because we know it works well but I think almost any make/model could be made to work.

Looks like you grabbed the crf250 cad model I saw on grabcad
Lol, yeah, I was surprised it was the only one available. Amazing what's on there and what isn't. I put the Jeep body on grabcad. I'll upload the entire assembly when I'm done. Open source karting, lol.

That looks like it'd be a riot! That's a CVT 2 stroke? Are they liquid cooled?
