Ive been away from the forums for a long while, but here's what ive been up to. Ive changed my minibike frame for the 4th time now. Ive upgraded from a 5hp Briggs to a Kohler K181 8hp, and now have motorcycle tires and wheels with drum brakes that came with them stock.
This one has rear suspension (not yet hooked up) but the swing arm is all there and functional.

I was going for the Sport bike look with this one... and I just finished the exhaust on it...:cornut:

Heres a couple vids i took of it running...

If anyones wondering what the heck i was thinking by having a 60t sprocket on the jackshaft like that... I thought i would try to make it do a wheelie by having a 18:1 gear ratio, but the centrifugal clutch wouldnt let it, it just slipped instead of wheelie-ing, and it only had a top speed of like 8mph... But i have since changed it to a 24t, which tops out at 35, but gives me great torque too...

What are you trying to do? Something with the suspension? This is going to sound off track but I have a mountain bike with some crazy rear suspension. This isn't the exact bike but it has the same suspension. I don't think that it's any help but I'd like to try to contribute if I can.

okay i think i got it... :idea2:i didnt really want to do this design, because i thought the shock looked so freakin cool where i originally wanted it to be... but, i know i can make this work more easily than if i tried keeping the shock under the tail like before.
in my opinion, this will look pretty sick too though...

to make tht original shock work

youll need more of a cantilever set up . Google it and youll see what I mean and it can also change the stiffness of that shock/coilover by changing the pivot point either way will look neat. your muffler looks like a catalitic converter. you sure its a muff

it IS a catalytic converter, but i cut it open, removed all the guts, and welded it back together- its hollow now.:D
And whats the difference from the one i was thinking of and the cantilever that you're talking about?
