you remind me of me when i was your age

haha!

im trying to decide if i should pull the engine and rebuild it with the new parts i have or just keep it the way it is.

it locked up twice yesterday but i think its because i fell and left it laying sideways so oil got in the cylinder

well you got time, show me a vid of you cleaning your brakes lol, looks unique with the tec, i like it, but then again keep working with it. dont try the tec in there until you have it running right

Looks like its coming along nice! I think you should add some rear suspension over the winter.

Working on that motorcycle makes go kart engines look so simple!

you just sand out the drum and wash the pads... not too hard. also helps to grease up all the moving parts.

i thought about the suspension but im afraid to cut it up and ruin it like i always do... :idea2::mad2:

yeah may be simpler, but ive torn down that tec around 7-8 times completely, gets kinda tiring. its been a project for over a year straight and it still refuses to run, no matter what i do to it theres always going to be some other problem

Looks like you did a very clean rebuild, Good work.

thanks buddy, could be better, theres still some dirt and stuff thats baked into the paint really, that wont come off easy. but its good enough, and its going to be run through mud and crap anyways.

a guy with the user "bassiclyloudog" or something like that, had a good idea, to cut out a panel out of plastic or thin metal, and mount it in front of the engine in the upside down "V" on the front end of the bike.

this is a pic of it

im considering buying a 10hp tecumseh short block. for $130 and $40 shipping. i can use the rest of the parts off my 8hp and 10hp (vertical) tec's. but the 8hp manifold.
