found out my problem, possibly after a few weeks now, so i just went for a ride today, go meet some new neighbor moving in, and i hear this noise, and i was so angered by the noise i continued to look at every part of the engine, couldnt find a **** thing, so i took it to my neighbor, to see what he thought, he found it in about 3 minutes, the left side of my motor mount is cracked, makes the bike shake, and when you rev it up, it moves up and down making this god awful noise, i thought something was in the bottom of my block for a minute, B.M i suggest you take a look at the motor mount, it might be cracked. so i need torque converter, brakes, and someone with a welder to fix this motor mount, im upset

welding is extremley hard when you dont have a welder, and broken engine? naw, but you know that small little spring that goes on the throttle arm? it broke. and i didnt think either, in the front left and back left theres the a crack, weve confirmed it by holding the motor mount down with our feet and hey, no noise

Oh, thought you had one. Try an find someone with one, wouldnt take to long to weld it. Maybe try a machine shop, mechanics or something.

Untill then, ratchet straps!

okay guys, so im still here, still havent gotten that motor mount fixed, hopeing to get a welder for christmas. should i run a full bead down both sides or just the spots like it usually had? i dont want it to break again, but somtimes it dosent start to make that magnficent noise untill i ride it for a minute, i dont know why, and that little return spring for the throttle arm? its gone. by the end of the winter i want this thing to be a tank

Run a few 1" beads a few inches apart, that'll be fine. Trying to do a full bead may result in warping the plate if you don't have much experience.

I agree. I still cant get the hang of welding things without having them warp on me. I think I am just too impatient and try do everything all at once and it gets too hot and warps.

If its the full TAV2 kit you get both the driver, driven, back plate, jack shaft, belt, and mounting bolts. You shouldn't need anything else (although I will mention I have no clue if this is a direct bolt on for the Baja, I would think so, but I can't be sure).

Don't get the GTC, IMO it's not worth saving $20. My GTC cost $212.93(?) shipped anyway..... I would have been very happy with a $179.99 comet when I was shopping around.

it says kit, but no info, gtc wants more just for a cover and such, and as much as i want a cover, im not going to pay so much for it. Now the comet is 187 shipped to my house. now theres no direct bolt on, it comes with a diffrent backplate than the one that just fits, so i have to grind it in certain places and such. Another thing is im not a member of OMB. could someone put thesse pictures up for me? i cant see them, and i dont want to grind/cut anything i shouldnt. http://www.oldminibikes.com/forum/d...-baja-5-5-hp-needing-info-tav2-install-2.html

i mounted a diffrent way, i cut up a sloped slice ( marked with a sharpie) so it wouldnt interfer with the frame, everything went fine and its all good, i do think my chain is to tight, but thats among other things, i took it down the street and back from my neighbors house and the neighbors next to him ( there getting mean ) rasied a fit and fight about how we need to read the rules and keep it down and how there calling the city, also how his yard was trashed because theres a dirt ring from quad riding but whatever. so i went to my neighbor across the street and asked if i could ride, she said i could so i took a little video, im in the black hoodie, my little brother in the red http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykhH6WOnNK0

the motors making some weird noise, but i dont know if its because of all the bumps in the yard or not. torque is amazing but i think the chain is to tight, it seems that it takes until the motor revs all the way up for the TAV to engage, then as i go it takes a while for it to up**** and speed is suffering, it has some torque now, but i feel its also suffering. the torque converter got hot before i put it up tonight and it seems to be making some noises

I'm interested in the quality of the Bullet lines Torque Converters. When you took it out of the box, was was your impression of the quality and build?

I guess the next step is to abuse the crap out of it and see how it holds up. It probably just needs time to break in? I wouldn't know since I have no experience with any of these kinds of torque converters.

Let us know how it goes.

My first impress was yess I got a torque converter but it had some rough edges and didn't seem the highest quality it could be. It needs to be spaced more than the kit gives as its badly out of alignment and when I got it the driven was on the shaft backwards. And the belt is poor quality I want a comet belt immediately
