Hey guys. I need help re-assembling my sons carb. I removed it and replaced the gaskets and gave it a good cleaning.

Now I can't seem to figure out how to connect the Throttle Link to the Throttle Shaft and Bell Crank.

Any help or pic would be much appreciated!

I suggest you disconnect the governor and hook the throttle directly to the carburetor butterfly. The 5hp is plenty safe without it and the kart is more fun.

Illustration would be great! Yes it's for my 4 year old so losing the gov isn't an option for now, but thanks.

Linkage under full tank (pic below): Behind your full tank there should be a control arm for the governor going from left to right, there is one long link that connects to that and runs up to the swing arm on the carb and then a small link that runs from the swing arm the the butterfly valve.....Hope this helps.

When I attach the throttle link, shaft and bell crank my throttle stays wide open. I don't think I have it hooked up correct or maybe it's from the spring at the bottom?

Really the problem is the way I have the link in red hooked to to the crank bell, black plastic piece, is keeping the throttle wide open, yellow dots. I am not sure if I have any of that set up right? I should have paid more attention before taking it all apart!

Well that link hooks to your governor control arm and your throttle under your tank controls that so maybe the problem is under the tank.

It seems like when I manually shut the throttle shaft, the link in red pulls up on the spring beneith the tank (governor control ???).

That arm on the side of your engine block that the long link connects to is the governor control....your engines governor is a plastic gear in the crank housing that the arm connects to...
