Hello everyone,

My go-kart is done but my motor doesn't work.
If I start the motor, he turns immediately to full speed.
Does I have to adjust the carburetor or is it something else?

hmmm, do you have the governor hooked up? Can u take pics please. U need to make sure the throttle cable is Hooked directly to the carb

Your open 1/2 Way right now. You need to back the cable off, see in this pic. The left side in that pic needs to against the motor (the side with the screw). Then start the motor and turn that screw in until it idles low enough. Good Luck!

do you have a return spring anywhere other than that just do what solomon said

ADD Your Spring here, yes i know i drew a perfect spring. And i see you still have governor linkage hooked to the carb, so is the gov still on it? if it is, that throttle setup is not safe! If you pulled the gov you should also remove everything i did in blue

And could you also tell me how to adjust the carb?

Solomon, the briggs doesn't start idled down when the engine is not running. Linkage is designed on his engined so what you're suggesting is not idling when its not running.

I could be wrong here, but its what I've noticed on several dozen different karts, I have to push the butterfly to adjust the idle when its not running, its how it was designed.

You can clearly see where he drilled the hole, it is not meant to be open 1/2 way for idle.

The motor works but there is leaking petrol from the choke.
Does that is the carburetor which I have to adjust?
