TIME FOR AN UPDATE! I got most of the shifting system done today, and I have figured out how I´m going to proceed with the front tires.

I´m tack-welding as you can see...
I´m going with reverse too! you´l see soon...

These are pics that i had in store. Can anyone guess what the air-suspension on the top is for?

Hope you can come up with a strong latching mechanism for the door, or else it could become a huge weak point in a rollover.

You´ve got a point there! but the two bolts keeping the door from moving in any direction are 10 mm in diameter so it will hold! correct me if I´m wrong but i still think this structure is better then a Dingo-kart for example

any more idés for the paint? or else it will be red!

Well i mean as long as there purely work clothes or old clothes haha. Its just hes wearing like nice stylish jeans and a shirt. Lets not get into a clothing debate here haha. Just my opinion. Im not careful, i carry engines and lean em on my leg and get oil all over my shorts. O well.

Lol, is that really the new fashion now? Since when do jeans come pre-ripped? Anyway, Nice kart, Coming along well!

I worked a little with the gear shifter today and I tack-welded the lower A-arm, I´m considering reinforcing the A-arm supports from beneath with more steal maybe!

I have 2 round headlights which i´m going to mount on top, i also have square ones (rectangle shaped) but i think i´ll go with the round ones!

I took this picture today, using the front tires as mockups, I´ll try to get a hand on a better camera for the next pictures

I really hope you plan on getting better tires, this is a beast for such crappy tires. Throw some car tires on there.

i see what you mean but this relativly small engine is not powerfull enough to turn ordinary carwheels. those are much heavier too, and i must switch sprockets also. i´ll just take what i have in the shelves. maybe my tires dont give as much grip but there will be no problem turning! I´m not looking for constant grip either, it´s fun to drift! so i´m keaping the tires!

probably the only thing thats left before the big testrun is the front tires and suspension!:drool5:

Looking great so far on the build ..... can't wait to see it up and running. But then again, that's the best part, isn't it? Building something totally cool from basically nothing .....

Sooo... The exhaust system and the gear shifter is finnished:thumbsup:
And i´ve been working on the upper A-arm which i will reinforce, couse i don´t think it will hold with only one bolt!
I will mount two more supports on the frame for the upper A-arm, just as the lower A-arm!

I hope you are going to reinforce that tie rod that you are using in your upper control arm, I would use another ball joint like you used on the lower control arm. I also hope your frame welds are just tacks and you are going to go back and really burn those suckers in.

*edit, just noticed above you said all welds are tacks.

you aren't going to have much suspension travel hunh? on the upper A's, which one bolt are you refering to? are you saying that one bolt per leg of the A is not enough?

I think this picture is clear enough!
And yes ... it´s the bolt for the tie rod I’m referring to..

i need to reinforce the tie rod at the end near the ball-joint as you can see on the picture! and these rods are good if I want to adjust the length of the arm (the angle of the wheel)

Thanks dude´s
on this picture you can se my modified flywheel with a tooth-crown welded to it... (I think it´s called tooth-crown)... anyways, i´m going to put a starter engine from a car next to it, and that´s my reverse!

The tooth-crown comes from an old volvo amazon i think, i took it´s flywheel, heated it up. and the tooth-crown pops right of!
i had to make it smaller though to fit my flywheel!

and in order to turn the reverse-starter ingine, i must swith gear to the N, i will hook it up so if the first gear is in, and i try to reverse, the reverse-starter can not start:thumbsup:
