Attaching two throttle cables together?

hello everyone, i'm building a gokart with bike cable as the throttle cable. To start off with i have two cables that i need to connect together somehow. Because i don't have acess to a longer cable. Does anyone know how i can attach the two bike cables together? Without buying a longer cable?

Go to the hardware store and look for wire marrets for thick gauge wire. Inside there will be something that looks like a lock collar with a flat blade screw in it. Cut the ball ends off the cables and insert both ends into the lock collar and tighten the screw to clamp them.

i soldered up cable(multistrand) and rod still working. most hardware stores sell wire rope/parts or you could go to wally world and get a 10 speed/mountain bike cable kit for 5/10 dollars.

Why the aversion to buying what they call a "tandem" cable? It's around 10 feet long and cost about Five ($5) bucks. Picked it up at a bicycle shop. easiest solution I know.

Sometimes they even give it to you for free . Like they did with me .

i did the two bike cables with mine,just electrical taped them together,holds well, not correct, but it works lol

Get an electrical connector with the 2 screws in em, cut off the end and thread the cable into it, since it has that big end on it it would pull through, put the other one through the other side and ur all good.

I made a lever, which is connected to the pedal cable, then a cable from lever to throttle. Eh.

get a realy small piece of copper pipe and insert the two cables then smash it up.
