I've stripped down my 5hp to the block.. going to hone it clean up the baked on dirt, etc.
and have a few questions.
It WAS used in 5hp racing before.. is there any possibility the internal parts are after market? I have some crappy phone pics of them:

Also, the bottom of the crank case is really scratched up - just under the oil dipper. Is that a bad problem?
Other than what is shown there are NO other markings on the cam and crank.
There is a 6 and something I can't identify (the motor is in the shop at school - cant see it now) on the crank.
On the cam there is no markings what so ever. Just what appears to be paint.
The rod has a 13 on it and that's it.
The motor does 5k rpm with springs limiting it.
